Here Are 5 of “Witchy’s” Favourite Mini-Stories Just for You!

Time for Witchy to share more of her drawings about adjusting to her new life outside the Transylvania Forest. Our favourite wacky little witch has a lot to learn but she’s brave and curious.

Despite her many fears, after a deeply upsetting (and terribly embarrassing) experience, she packed up her cauldron, her toothbrush, and her stamp collection, and moved to England. She is embracing a new life in a strange land — England — which she says is very strange, indeed.

If you don’t know her back story, you can learn more here. (Buckle up.)

Since all of that happened, she’s been adjusting to her life in England where everything is completely different from the one she shared with vampires, other witches, and various magical creatures.

I was one of Witchy’s first friends when she came to England. She was…well, let’s be honest…kind of a mess after everything she’d been through —

“That doesn’t sound very good!” she interjects, having spun into my cottage a moment ago and is now reading over my shoulder. Again. She knows how much that bugs me…

“I just mean that you’d gone through a lot and you had quite a job ahead of you to sort yourself out.”

“Oh. Well, then. Yes, I guess I was kind of a mess.”

“Exactly. That’s why I suggested yoga back then. I thought it might be a good place to begin.”

“I probably would have done it, too, if not for — well, you know — that time I’d seen Mr. Snowman doing yoga. I’m not sure which one of us was more traumatised.”

“I’m guessing it was Mr. Snowman, Witchy.”

Anyway…aside from meeting Mr. Snowman, Witchy has been making lots of other friends, too, since coming to England.

Because of that, she’s been learning about all sorts of things she had never seen in the Forest…

“I had never seen such big pockets,” she says from behind my shoulder.

“Or so full,” I add.

“A lot of my friends seem to have big problems. Like my astronaut friend. Is that the same for everyone outside the Forest, Liberty?”

“Well, yes, Witchy. Most people have challenges of some kind. Some are big, others are small. That’s just part of life. What’s extra good, though, is when people help each other and make the road a little easier.”

“I’m not so sure Mr. Fox wanted to go and help the chicken,” Witchy adds.

“Uh…no, he really didn’t.”

“How nice for the pterodactyl! Is it just me or does everyone feel a little shy about this?”

“Well, Witchy, I can’t speak for everyone. I’ve known some people who do and others who don’t.”

“Well, I sure do! So I wish I were a pterodactyl!”

“Careful what you wish for, Witchy! The more you focus on something, the more likely it is to happen!”

“What do you mean?”

“I mean, the more attention and energy you give to something, the more you’re engaging the Law of Attraction. You focus your thoughts on something — even if it’s something you fear and don’t want — and the more you think about it and fear about it, the more likely you are to see it come true.”

“That sounds awful!”

“Well, it’s true that we can set up some negative circumstances in our lives but we can also set up some fantastic, positive ones, too! It’s all up to you and the focus you choose for your thoughts and feelings.”

“I guess I should stop thinking about my pinhead ex-boyfriend, Vladmir the Vampire.”

“Well, after the way he treated you with, uh…the, um…well, you know — ”

“Yes. I do.”

“ — I mean, with everything that happened to you and the way he reacted…there’s really no reason to think about him, is there?”

“Nope. But it still hurts.”

“Of course it does, Witchy. When you think of him, try to remember that he has helped you create a whole new life and learn more about yourself than you would have ever done in the Transylvania Forest. He was part of the bigger plan for your life. Send him thoughts of gratitude for that and look ahead, thinking of all the great things that are waiting for you.”

Witchy smiled softly and nodded. “I can do that. Even if it still hurts.”

“Good! The more you do it, the sooner it will stop hurting. And you’ll be well and truly on your path to a happier life.”
